ABOUT OUR SPEAKER ... Mike Lalonde started landscaping as a summer job in high school and worked for the same company until 2000. With nothing but a pick-up truck and a handful of tools, he started Blue Pine on January 12, 2000. His story is one of good old fashioned hard work. “I worked my butt off to find work, get clients, grow, and hire. I worked 100 hours per week for the first 5 years.” Now he employees approximately 180 full time employees, and is one of the largest landscape construction firms in Canada. Mike’s secret to success is simple – people and relationships. Employees and relationships with clients are the most valuable asset of his business.
