Schedule a 45 minute session with Tess to understand how you can start supplying your goods or services to the Government of Canada. Sessions can be a general overview of government procurement, or more tailored towards your industry.
- Understand the fundamentals including registering to sell to the government, identifying opportunities, and marketing your goods or services.
- Learn about the new the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders, where contracting opportunities are posted. - Learn about the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including how to submit a bid and how bids are evaluated.
- Know the federal government contracting process from start to finish, and have the information needed to get involved.
Tess is a key contact for small and medium businesses that want to supply goods and services to the federal government. She has worked with the Image Product Management Group helping with the national commodity management for a number of imaging product lines including printers, scanners and photocopiers. Tess worked for the National Shipbuilding Strategy where she helped manage the Non-combat shipbuilding package here on the West Coast. As part of her role with OSME she helps manage the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) which helps Canadian companies of all sizes move their innovative goods and services from the laboratory to the marketplace. Through seminars, workshops and one on one meetings Tess helps companies understand the federal procurement system.
