- Two new job-protected employee leaves (domestic violence leave and critical illness leave) – we will review the details of each leave and the employer and employees responsibilities;
- Extension of the Wage Recovery Period - regular and overtime wage claim period extended from 6 months to one year (two years in some cases) - the cost of non-compliance could be crippling as your financial liability for every complaint has doubled;
- New child protection restrictive provisions; and
- New administrative changes to the Complaint Process - elimination of the Self-Help Kit, greater investigative powers, discretion to increase administrative penalties, and more telephone hearings.
Chris and Melanie will explain the new unique and challenging process and how to prepare for Complaints. There will be plenty of time for your questions and networking.
