Businesses are adjusting to new the province’s new carbon levy. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) must start thinking about carbon costs the same way they think about labour, energy or the other costs of doing business. Managing this new cost line well will lead to a competitive advantage. Managing it poorly can hurt the bottom line and leave opportunities on the table.

Many SMEs will face a significant learning curve on how to manage these costs effectively. The GLCC is offering their members the change to participate in the Climate Smart Chambers program, a national initiative from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce to help SMEs make some green by going green.
