The Resilience of Canada’s Business Community in 2020 – Canadian Chambers Annual Report to Members

The year 2020 was a year like no other. When we started the year, we were filled with the optimism of all that a new decade might bring. An economy ready to roll. An election or two to engage in or watch from the sidelines. New challenges and new opportunities were on the agenda. And then… it ALL changed.

With our headquarters in Ottawa and a footprint in communities across the country, we knew it was important for us to help read the map as we found our new pathway.

As a new year begins, with light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, we reflect back on ALL this unique business network has achieved — with and for our members and partners, for our stakeholders and shareholders, for our communities and for our people. When we look back on 2020, we are humbled by your trust in us. We are heartened by our members’ and partners’ enthusiasm and “get ‘er done” spirit. Without you and your support, feedback and attitude, we wouldn’t be where we are now.

We are proud to share with you our 2020 Annual Report; we have accomplished much together. We hope you will take this opportunity to share this report with your colleagues and your own members, as applicable. They are our network’s collective achievements on behalf of Canadian business.

With your support, guidance and collaboration, we will do much more in 2021. We are, indeed, all in this together.

Sincerely,
Perrin Beatty
President and Chief Executive Officer
